Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.

Wheats end is the bomb dot com. We got the pancakes, vegan, the skillet and a cinnamon roll. The whole restaurant is gluten free and many items can be made vegan or dairy free which is super appreciated as most of us with celiacs are also lactose intolerant too. The place is take out only but the park is a short walk. We're not local but next time we come back to Chicago we will definitely be treating ourselves here again. Food was so good we ate it all before I remembered to take a picture.

I’ve barely tried any gluten free food in my life, don’t have any allergies, but I was ordering Uber Eats and I was craving a grilled chicken sandwich. So I just picked the first one and I didn’t even realized that it’s gluten free. When I tried it I was like omg this is the best sandwich I’ve ever had in my life, definitely leaving a good review. I found your restaurant in google and was so shocked when I saw that it’s a gluten free restaurant and my sandwich is gluten free too. I couldn’t believe it. I mean if all gluten free food tastes so that good maybe I just should quit eating gluten lol. Thank you so much guys, you made my day. It also came so warm and the salad is nice!

Everyone at Wheats End was very nice, cute little storefront, good coffee and amazing food. Had several options during our stay in Chicago. I will crave the popovers for the rest of my life, first time in 25 years I have had ones that tasted like my Grandma made. Also had coconut donut, flautas, avocado toast. Highly recommend the flats as well! Wish I didnt live a few states away! Thank you!

Got the chicken and waffles and walked over to colectivo for a coffee and to sit in the beautiful patio. Absolutely loved the chicken and waffles. My husband and I each got an order and we could have probably shared 1. It was a ton of food. The chicken was absolutely to die for. Dip it in the maple syrup, n you're gonna loooveee itt!!

Shrimp po'boy and chocolate chip pancakes are delicious! Generous portions. I am not gluten-free and just decided to try this place out. Very happy I did! Some of the best pancakes I've ever had. The pancakes are probably a better deal than the shrimp sandwich but both were good amounts of food πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹ excited to come back and try more items on the menu.
